A modern building in the fishing port from where you can watch as the fleet returns with its fish and shellfish catches ready for auction.

Until recently the prices were sung out until they were interrupted by the call of a buyer. Now the auction is mechanised. Visitors can enjoy the spectacle from a corridor on the first floor that surrounds the fish conveyor belt and from where the buyers’ stands can be seen.

The boats begin to return to port from about 3 pm Monday to Friday and the best time to see the market in action is around 4.30 pm

It should be noted that there are two months in the year (usually June and July) that there is no fishing due to the biological close season or recovery period.
